Theo Thông tấn xã Việt Nam, Đại tướng Phan Văn Giang cho biết tại buổi lễ rằng Bộ Quốc phòng đã đồng loạt và kiên quyết triển khai “Chiến dịch 500 ngày đêm”; đã thành lập hơn 30 đội tìm kiếm, tăng cường thu thập thông tin và lấy mẫu hài cốt, tổ chức hội thảo xác minh, ứng dụng radar ngầm, công nghệ số và phần mềm quản lý phục vụ công tác tìm kiếm, thu thập và xác nhận danh tính hài cốt liệt sĩ.
经过4个多月的战役实施，各力量已寻找并归集了近1500具烈士遗骸和7座集体墓地；在胡志明市黎氏莲（Lê Thị Riêng）公园发现了100多具烈士遗骸和2座集体墓地；已对7.3万多座烈士墓进行取样，其中5万多座具备取样条件；排雷清爆面积约8500公顷。就同奈市而言就已归集100多具烈士遗骸，并对5000多座烈士墓进行了取样。
Sau hơn 4 tháng triển khai chiến dịch, các lực lượng đã tìm kiếm, thu thập được gần 1.500 hài cốt liệt sĩ và 7 ngôi mộ tập thể; phát hiện hơn 100 hài cốt liệt sĩ và 2 ngôi mộ tập thể tại Công viên Lê Thị Riêng, TP.HCM; hơn 73.000 mộ liệt sĩ đã được lấy mẫu, trong đó có hơn 50.000 mộ đủ điều kiện lấy mẫu; diện tích mỏ nổ khoảng 8.500 ha. Riêng TP Đồng Nai, đã thu thập được hơn 100 hài cốt liệt sĩ và lấy mẫu hơn 5.000 mộ liệt sĩ.

Đại tướng Phan Văn Giang yêu cầu Quân khu 7 và TP Đồng Nai tiếp tục huy động tối đa nguồn lực, đẩy mạnh ứng dụng khoa học công nghệ, đẩy mạnh phân tích số liệu, xác minh thông tin, khoanh vùng khu vực có thể có nghĩa địa liệt sĩ; đồng thời sẽ tổ chức lễ tưởng niệm và an táng long trọng, bàn giao mẫu hài cốt để giám định ADN trong thời gian sớm nhất.

据同奈市指导委员会介绍，明德乡是1967年至1975年间曾发生多场激烈战斗的区域。在开展“500昼夜战役”之前，该区域已归集了55具烈士遗骸。自7月14日起，职能部门扩大勘察探测范围，至7月20日又发现了21具遗骸及多件烈士遗物。（完）
Theo Ban Chỉ đạo TP Đồng Nai, thị trấn Minh Đức là nơi xảy ra nhiều trận đánh ác liệt từ năm 1967 đến năm 1975. Trước khi “Chiến dịch 500 ngày đêm” được phát động, hài cốt của 55 liệt sĩ đã được tập kết tại khu vực này.
